Chilean Alex Manzano Wins LAPT Sao Paulo
February 21, 2022
The PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour Sao Paulo main event, concluded over the weekend with amateur player Alex Manzano claiming the title.

Manzano, a 26-year old chilean civil engineer according to the PokerStars blog which covered the proceedings, outlasted a total field of 536 players to win his first major event, taking the lion’s share of a nearly $1.5 million total prize pool.

Manzano’s portion of that pool was $615,840 Brazilian Reals, or about $370,000 USD- a pretty fair return on an initial $5,000 Real investment.

1st.  Alex Manzano- R$615,840

2nd.  Joao Neto- R$352,760

3rd.  Marcelo Fonseca- R$224,800
