The EPT Grand Final Under Way
April 14, 2022
Days 1a and 1b have been completed in the European Poker Tour's Monte Carlo Grand Final. 842 players bought in to the EUR10,000 buy-in event, creating a first prize of EUR2,020,000. With such a big field, it would be easier to list the big name pros that weren't in attendance than to try to list all the ones that were, but just a short list of the stars who showed up would have to include: Tony G, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Erick Lindgren, Gus Hansen, Dario Minieri, Vanessa Rousso, Max Pescatori, Joe Hachem, Chris Moneymaker, Annette Obrestad, Freddy Deeb, last year's champion Gavin Griffin and of course PokerRoad's own "The Bear" Barry Greenstein.

Many of these pros did not survive their challenging day ones, yet more than a few did, including: Victor Ramdin, Vanessa Rousso, Freddy Deeb, Patrik Antonius, Joe Hachem, Daniel, Negreanu, Chad Brown, Marcel Luske, Anna Wroblewski, and Barry Greenstein. With so many big names still in the hunt, this tournament is quickly becoming one not to miss.
