Big News At The WSOP
May 1, 2022
It seems all the speculation was true, poker's most prestigious Tournament, the World Series of Poker Main Event, just got a little longer. USAToday.com is reporting that this year's WSOP Main Event Final Table will be delayed for nearly four months! This 117 day delay, in theory, should give ESPN time to catch their viewers up on what has happened so far during the Series and should also build hype and word of mouth. Once this is accomplished, ESPN plans to air the Final Table in "almost virtually real time" in front of hopefully a much bigger more informed audience. The table is set to air almost live, at 9pm on November the 11th.

It's a controversial idea, to say the least, but one that seems to be a go, and only time will tell whether it will be successful.

A press conference has been scheduled today, which should give us more details on exactly how all of this is suppose to work.
