American Bryan "Devo" Devonshire has won the first preliminary event of Canada's Coast To Coast Poker Championships. This $460+ 40 buy-in No Limit Hold 'em event had 529 entrants, which created a prize pool of $243,340. With the victory, Devonshire took home the Lions share of that prize pool - $60,835.

This, of course, was not just any old preliminary event. This was the event that kicked off Canada's Coast To Coast Poker Championships, "the first ever" Coast To Coast Poker Championships, which in turn is hosting the first ever event for the newly formed WPT Canada. Eight Canadians were at the final table all hoping to be Canada's first Coast To Coast champion, yet Devo had the audacity to take the title and the money back to America. Good Game Sir, please don't expect an invite for next year.
