Foxwoods is about to get a little bigger. MGM Mirage and the Pequot (more familiarly "Man-Chukit-Pee-Quat! to PokerRoad fans) nation are just putting on the finishing touches to a brand new edition to the famous Connecticut casino. The new "MGM Grand at Foxwoods" is set to open this Saturday and will offer 825 new guest rooms, a 4,000 seat theater, gourmet restaurants, high-end shopping, meeting facilities, and of course, additional gaming areas.

The MGM Grand at Foxwoods is encased in a beautiful 30-story glass tower and is the result of a $700 million dollar business partnership agreement, between MGM Mirage and the Pequot Nation, which began almost two years prior. This huge new expansion should come as a welcome surprise, to the many tournament professionals who often find themselves spending time in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
