Bad Beat On Cancer
May 15, 2022
Recently, big name pros such as Phil Gordon, Howard Lederer, Andy Bloch, Chris Ferguson, and Annie Duke all got together to take part in a very special poker event. The 4th annual "Bad Beat on Cancer" Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament, originally started by Phil Gordon and Rafe Furst, officially went down on Tuesday, May 6th in Washington D.C. and was once again a great success. This Round Robin style tournament, which made it possible for all the entrants to try their hands against at least one pro, raised more than $300,000 for the Prevent Cancer Foundation (formerly known as the Cancer Research Prevention Foundation) and had a total of 130 entrants.

The winner of the event was amateur player Tom Goldstein, who with the win, will now get the opportunity to compete in Poker's most prestigious event, the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event.
