Once again during the Ladies Event at this year's World Series Of Poker, the "Queen of Hearts" team will be in attendance to fiercely compete, as well as raise awareness for an important cause. The "Queen of Hearts" is a team made up of professional poker players and Hollywood celebrities that are dedicated to fighting Cancer and raising money for the Nevada Cancer Institute - the official charity of this year's WSOP.

The "Queen of Hearts" team consists of; Mimi Rogers, Joely Fisher, Teri Hatcher, Cheryl Hines, Camryn Manheim, Mindy McCready, Susie Isaacs, Linda Johnson, Mary Jones, Shawnee Barton, Sally Ann Boyer, Pamela Brunson, Barbara Enright, Maureen Feduniak, Clonie Gowen, and honorary captain Jackie Collins.

Celebrity author Jackie Collins will not be playing in the event this year, but she will be there in support and will also announce the start of the event.

The 2008 World Series of Poker $1,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em Ladies Event, is scheduled to kick off on Sunday June 8 at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
