Wassup at the WSOP: Event #2 No-Limit Hold 'em
June 2, 2022
Both Day 1a and 1b of event #2 of the World Series Of Poker have been wrapped up, and so far this first $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold 'em event has been something to remember. Event #2 officially broke the record for the most entrants into a preliminary WSOP event with 3,929 players signing up for a shot at a bracelet. This huge number created a prize pool of $5,363,085 with a first place prize of $831,462 - almost a million dollars for a $1,500 entry fee, not bad by anyone's standards.

The nearly 4,000 person field has already been whittled down to 448 players, and a whopping 378 of those will make the money sometime this afternoon when play continues. Some of the well known pros still in contention for that money include, David Singer, Michael Binger, Marco Traniello, Joe Bartholdi, Arnold Spee, Mark Gregorich and Erica Schoenberg.
