WASSUP '08: Event #2 Continues, Death March Towards The Final Table
June 3, 2022
Yesterday at the start of Day 2 of the $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em event at the World Series Of Poker, organizers planned to continue play until the final table was set. However, with 448 players starting the day, that goal would was realized as unrealistic at best and laughable at worst.

Not that they didn't give it the old college try. As it was, the grueling Day 2 lasted from 2:00 pm till almost 6:00 in the morning, when play was finally suspended with 18 players left to go.

These weary final 18 players, including Perry Friedman, Chris Ferguson, Theo Tran and Minh Nguyen, are scheduled to reconvene at the RIO at 1:30 this afternoon, where they again may be in for a very long haul. Event #2 is a three day event, which means despite the hour, this time play will continue until the bracelet has been awarded along with the incredible $831,462 first place prize.
