Forget any preconceived notions you may have about women playing poker. Anyone who believes that women are prim, proper, and passive, obviously wasn't watching Day 1 of the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Ladies Event at the 2008 World Series Of Poker. This raucous event saw taunting penalties, loud screams, and ultra-aggressive poker, which lead to one of the fastest playing Day 1's of the Series.

Of the 1,190 celebrities, pros, and amateurs that signed up to play in this always popular event, only 61 remained by the end of day - including Kathy Leibert, Evelyn Ng, Nancy Todd Tyner, Van Nguyen, and perhaps most importantly the queen of PokerRoad, Amanda Leatherman.
