I'm going to go out on a limb here and make a prediction. Despite only being one day into event #18 of the World Series Of Poker and with 39 players still in contention, I'm willing to predict that a big name pro will win the $5,000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw w/Rebuys event. There is of course a chance this won't happen; of the 39 players still in contention there are probably two or three names that people haven't heard of. However, the vast majority of the field are poker legends or internet phenoms that most poker players know all too well - including Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Doyle Brunson, Chad Brown, Erick Lindgren, Howard Lederer, Carlos Mortensen, Todd Brunson, Tony G, David Benyamine, Layne Flack, Tom Schneider, Mike Matusow, Robert and Michael Mizrachi, chip leader Tom "durrr" Dwan, and PokerRoad's own Phil Ivey and Barry Greenstein.

This impressive list of 39 survivors is the result of a Day 1 that saw 85 elite players rebuy 272 times in a wild and wooly gamble-fest, that resulted in a prize pool of $1,735,020 with a first place prize of $537,862.

Day 2 of Event #18 is set to begin today at 3PM PDT.
