WASSUP '08: New Yorker Wins The ladies Event
June 11, 2021
Svetlana Gromenkova has won this year's World Series Of Poker Ladies Event. Gromenkova beat out a starting field of 1,190 players to take down the $244,702 first prize along with a custom Corum watch and the coveted WSOP bracelet.

Second place was claimed by Ahn Le, which amazingly is the second time she has taken second in this event. Ahn came up one spot short in 2006 as well, when she lost her heads-up battle to Jennifer Tilly. This time around Ahn Le earned $144,567 for being the last women in Event #15 to lose.
