WASSUP '08: Negreanu Triumphs!
June 13, 2021
When Mike Matusow won his third bracelet late Wednesday night, he officially had as many as his good friend Daniel Negreanu. Well apparently the ultra-competitive Negreanu just couldn't let that stand, so he went out and got himself a fourth.

Last night, Daniel Negreanu won his fourth World Series Of Poker bracelet by taking down Event #20, the $2,000 Limit Hold'em. Despite entering the final table third in chips, Negreanu cut through the field slowly and steadily with the true precision of a seasoned pro, eventually ending the match by beating Ugor Marangoz heads-up for the title - a repeat performance, having won the same title back in 2004. With the victory, "Kid Poker" secured a first place prize of $204,874 and probably at least double that in bracelet prop bets.

Daniel Negreanu is a proud member of Team PokerStars and is also the founder of the recently launched PokerVT, both of which should benefit greatly from this.

The Final Table Payouts and Positions for Event #20, $2,000 Limit Hold'em were as follows:

1st. Daniel Negreanu-$204,874
2nd. Ugor Marangoz-$126,671
3rd. David Baker-$78,624
4th. Richard Li-$$63,335
5th. Fu Wong-$51,542
6th. Jeremy Kottler-$40,622
7th. Greg Wohletz-$31,886
8th. Derek Lerner-$25,334
9th. Hien Tran-$18,782
