WASSUP '08: Historic Final Table ($5k PLO w/rebuys)
June 16, 2021
An exciting final table is set to begin today at the World Series Of Poker - the kind that poker fanboys can usually only dream of.

In one corner, we have Johnny Chan aiming for his 11th WSOP first place finish, hoping to tie Phil Hellmuth's record for the most WSOP bracelets. In another corner we have Hellmuth himself, hoping to win his 12th bracelet and, at the same time, further distance himself from the ever-dangerous Chan. A third corner holds chip leader and internet technowizard Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond, eager to prove to the table that, despite what Hellmuth might think, he's the Phil they should be worried about. In the fourth corner is David Benyamine, a highly respected poker professional who has yet to win his first bracelet - a gap in his impressive resume that he seems very determined to fill. And then of course there's Daniel Negreanu, sitting at yet another final table and hoping to win his second bracelet of this Series and with it perhaps a second WSOP Player of the Year title. Well, we filled all the corners, and there's still names like Kirill Gerasimov, Brian "tsarrast" Rast, and John Juanda to speak, none of which none should be underestimated.

Despite only 152 initial entrants, the first prize of this event is a whopping $817,781, so it's not just bracelets at stake, it's serious, cold hard cash.

Some thing tells me at 3pm PDT, there's could be some real poker carnage going down at today's ESPN feature table.
