WASSUP '08: Day 1 Of The H.O.R.S.E.
June 26, 2021
Poker's most prestigious event (arguably) has begun. The World Series Of Poker's $50,000 H.O.R.S.E event is considered by many to be the ultimate test of a poker players mettle. The big buy-in and multiple game format tests even the most arrogant players' belief in their abilities and traditionally brings out only the very best players, willing to take a shot to prove their worth to the poker world. This year it seems things are no different, as almost all 148 players who entered yesterday's event are well known high stakes pros.

The deep stack nature of Event #45 meant even with a full day of play, only 8 players were eliminated. The most notable of those 8 were David Williams, Amnon Filippi, and Phil Hellmuth, who despite his best efforts was unable to ever really get things going.

Day 2 of Event #45, is scheduled to begin again today at 3PM PDT, where we are sure to see many more big name pros join Phil on the rail, as they try in vain to win the all-new Chip Reese Memorial Trophy.
