WASSUP '08: I Wanna Be Like Traaaan!
July 1, 2021
The "year of the formerly bracelet-less pro" continued yesterday, when J.C. Tran took down Event #49 for $631,170, adding a World Series of Poker bracelet to his already highly impressive list of accolades that includes, a World Poker Tour title, a PokerStars World Championship Of Online Poker Main Event title, and total tournament winnings estimated to be well over 6 million dollars.

Many of the pros that have won bracelets this year, did so by beating smallish fields in significantly less popular games than No-Limit Hold'em, but not J.C.. Tran earned his first bracelet in a $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event that attracted a starting field of 2,718 players, which included some of the biggest names in the game like, Jeff Madsen, Hevad Khan, Kristy Gazes, David Pham and Men "The Master" Nguyen. This was Tran's sixth 2008 WSOP cash.
