Day 2b concluded on Wednesday night and after all was said and done nearly 1300 hundred players were left to battle Thursday on Day 3. The chip leader coming out of the day was Peter Beibel with nearly 531,000 in tournament chips, however he is still far behind Brian Schaedlich of day 2a notoriety who leads the entire field with over 800K. Some big names including Phil Hellmuth, Johnny Chan, Jeff Madsen, Phil Gordon, and Gus Hansen still remain with healthy chip stacks. It will be interesting to see if "the year of the pro" trend continues in the world biggest tournament.
