Playtech, the largest online gaming software supplier, recently announced their revenue results for the 2008 second quarter. These results showed record and unexpected levels of growth for Playtech during a period of the year that is traditionally known to be slow and uneventful.

In its reports, Playtech showed a revenue increase of 75% compared to last year's second quarter and a received $42.4 million in total revenue in the last three months. Playtech's poker related revenues fared almost as well, up 74% during this same period.
