California Chips Up
August 4, 2021
Many of the biggest casinos in California will soon be trading in their old poker chips for new ones, after discovering the chips may contain an unacceptable amount of lead. This decision was the result of a recent investigative report on an Arizona television station which found that chips manufactured by Paulson Gaming Supplies may be hazardous to people's health. Despite independent testing being unable to reproduce the results from the original expose, 21 California casino have still agreed to exchange the chips to appease health-and-safety citizen's groups.

The new chips are scheduled to be in place, by no later than November 1st. Just a few of the companies involved in the exchange include; Hustler Casino, Golden West Casino, Ocean View Card Room, Lucky Derby Casino, and California Commerce Club, Inc..
