Vega Promotional Systems Inc. is launching a new Latin America Poker Tour (LAPT). This 2008 tour plans to visit Puerto Rico, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. The tour will culminate with a Tournament of Champions to decide who will be the Latin American Champion.

All the tournaments will be invitational in nature, with seats being awarded through online websites, as well as through local satellite tournaments.

Michael Herron, CEO of Vega, had this to say about the reasons for the new tour, \"This is a very exciting announcement. So get use to those letters, LAPT. The poker world just got even bigger.
