January's PartyPoker.com Irish Poker Championship will now be bolstered by a variety of preliminary touring events throughout the calendar year. This qualifying tour known as the "PartyPoker.com Irish Poker Open Championship Tour," has already begun in Galway, Ireland and will visit: Cork, Dublin, Waterford, Mayo, Athlone, and Letterkenny before it's through.

The EUR2,000-buy-in Irish Poker Championship attracted nearly 300 players last year, including Marcel Luske, Noel Furlong, Bruno Fitoussi, Robert Williamson III, Tom Franklin, Padraig Parkinson, and Mike Sexton. Now with the inclusion of this new tour, it appears that the already successful PartyPoker.com Irish Poker Championship will only be getting bigger and better in the future.
