One of the champions of the legalization of online gambling was at it again this week. Representative Jim McDermott (D-WA) distributed copies of a PricewaterhouseCoopers analysis of online gambling revenue to his fellow members of congress.

The analysis suggests that the U.S. government could benefit from an up to $42.8 billion windfall from online gambling tax revenue in the first 10 years of regulation.

McDermott cited increased defense spending and other government expenditures as the need for the new source of tax revenue.
