Day 1b at APPT
September 3, 2021
Day 1b of the PokerStars.com Asian Pacific Poker Tour Macau Main Event, was much kinder to it's professional players than it's Day 1a counterpart. Most of the big name pros who chose to compete on Day 1b actually survived to to tell the tale including Vanessa Rousso, Johnny Chan, Thomas Bihl, Chad Brown and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier (who for some reason chose to play the event dressed as Batman's arch nemesis the Joker).

Altogether 185 players signed up to play on Day 1b, which brought the total number of entrants thus far to an impressive 310 players, with still one more Day 1 to go. Of those 185 initial Day 1b players, only 77 survived. Some notable eliminations from the day included Mel Judah, David Saab and two players from last week's Asian Poker Tour final table, Casey Kastle and APT Champion Yevgeniy Timoshenko.
