Partouche Day 1b
September 5, 2021
The second Day 1 of the Partouche Poker Tour Cannes Main Event saw many big name players aiming for a piece of the EUR2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. Among the 254 Day 1b registrants sat David Williams, Alexander Kostritsyn, Erica Schoenberg, Robert and Michael Mizrachi, David "Chino" Rheem, and Phil "The Life Of" Ivey. Ivey, who seems to be in some kind of a hurry lately, didn't take his seat until the third level of play and was already busted by the end of level six. Other notables to follow Ivey to the rail included Theo Tran, Nenad Medic, David "Chino" Rheem. and internet pro "Fata1ity."

Floridian Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi must have felt some home court advantage playing in Cannes' Palm Beach, because by the end of the day, he was among the chip leaders with 160,300 in chips (2nd place overall). Michael's brother Robert is also still in contention as is Rafe Furst, Antonio Esfandiari, David Williams, Nicholas Levi, Jean-Robert Bellande, and Scotty Nguyen (who apparently did not play during Day 1a, no matter what I told you yesterday).
