A glitch that occurred in January on Betfair's online poker room software apparently made it possible for all 6 players on a "6-pak" (shorthanded sit-n-go) to win money in certain circumstances. Once the error was discovered, numerous players began testing it out at higher and higher levels building their bankrolls as they went.

Betfair Poker has since corrected the glitch and is now in the process of trying to retrieve the money that was won as a result. Betfair has sent out about 20 emails to players requesting they return the money that they feel was "exploited" during the few hours the software problem went undiscovered. It is believed that more than $1,000,000.00 was distributed due to the unusual glitch.
