Yoshihiro Tasaka, Seoul Of A Champion
September 29, 2021
Not all the poker action was in London this week, as there was still a major tournament wrapping up in Korea - that being the PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour Seoul Main Event championship. 165 players took part in this most recent APPT event, which meant the champion would be guaranteed a respectable first prize worth $128,216. That prize and the APPT title that went with it was eventually claimed by Japan's Yoshihiro Tasaka, despite the unusual circumstance of missing the first few hands of heads-up play, due to a penalty he incurred while the table was three handed.

The final table finish positions for the 2008 PokerStars.net APPT Seoul Main Event championship were as follows:

1st. Yoshihiro Tasaka- KRW 148,896,000 ($128,216)
2nd. Hidenari Shiono- KRW 93,060,000 ($80,135)
3rd. Brian Kang- KRW 51,183,000 ($44,074)
