Day 3 of the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event still had plenty of top talent competing for the ?868,800 first prize (nearly $1,560,000 American). Found in the field of 67 Day Three players were such names as Brian Townsend, Scott Fischman, Josh Arieh, Erik Seidel, Ivan Demidov, Mike Matusow, David Ulliott, Andy Bloch, Johnny Lodden, Justin "BoostedJ" Smith, Daniel Negreanu, and John Juanda. Of these players, all but "The Devilfish" made the money (top 36 places) including Negreanu, who with it officially cashed in three of the four events at this year's WSOPE.

Negreanu not only cashed but excelled on Day 3, ending second in chips with 653,000. The only player with more is his old friend John Juanda, who has 657,500. In total 24 players survived the day and will now be setting their sights on these two big stacks including Mel Judah, Brandon Adams, "sbrugby," Erik Seidel, "Mike The Mouth," Fischman, and "BoostedJ."
