Yesterday, another group started their quest in the 2008 European Poker Tour London main event. This day 1 saw quite a few top pros enter the fray, including Joe Hachem, Dario Minieri, David Williams, Jean-Robert Bellande, Andy Black, Erik Seidel, Antonio Esfandiari, David "Chino" Rheem, Phil Ivey, Scotty Nguyen, and PokerRoad's big papa Barry Greenstein.

In all 309 players started on Day 1b, and less than 90 ended it. Some of the players eliminated were Esfandiari, Hachem, Ivey, Thor Hansen, and "The Devilfish." Whereas some of the pros that ended up in great shape were Humberto Brenes (35,000), Jean-Robert (28,500), Scotty Nguyen (56,500) and "The Bear" (37,500)

Day 2 begins today when the 161 surviving players from the two day ones reconvene to continue towards the EPT final table and a first prize worth ?1,000,000.
