Players looking for an affordable opportunity to play some poker for a good cause should consider checking out the "Habitat for Humanity's Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament" and fundraiser in El Dorado, California. This event (Saturday, November 1st, at 6 pm, is only $75 and includes the tournament entry; a Captain's Platter; and a mug of grog (the fundraiser seems to be going with a pirate theme). There are also rebuys and add-ons available for $25 each.

The poker tournament is just a small part of the festivities on the first. The night will also feature music, entertainment, gourmet food, a raffle, no-host cocktails, black jack, and a silent auction.

Those not anywhere near El Dorado can still participate by bidding on items in a related online auction, which is scheduled to begin on eBay on Oct. 25th. The auction will feature many great prizes and specifically includes private poker coaching sessions donated by top poker stars like JJ Liu, Linda Johnson, J.C. Tran, Kelli Griggs, and WSOP Main Event bracelet winner Jerry Yang.
