Festa Al Lago Main Event: The Beginning
October 20, 2021
Today (Oct. 20th) marks the start of the World Poker Tour's next stop, the Bellagio's Festa Al Lago Main Event.

The Festa Al Lago returns to the WPT Circuit, after a year off, with a $15,000 + $400 deep stack event that's sure to bring out the most elite and prestigious poker competition on the planet.

This season's WPT has so far been one for the books. Already poker fans have seen John Phan make back to back WPT final tables at the Bellagio Cup IV and the Bicycle Casino's Legends of Poker - which he won. We've seen internet poker star Vivek "FLOG" Rajkumar become a bona fide live poker sensation by taking down the Borgata Poker Open and going deep in the North American Poker Championship. We've even seen a classic "Moneymaker like" heads-up battle between a top class poker veteran and a total amateur, when PokerRoad's own Gavin Smith took on Glen Witmer for the North American Poker Championship WPT bracelet, which was eventually won by Witmer.

This next event, at the World famous Bellagio in Las Vegas, will in all likelihood continue the WPT's impressive run of must watch tournaments. The structure of 90 minute blinds and 45,000 in starting chips will most assuredly allow for lot's of play and should help guarantee only the best of the best make it deep.

The Festa Al Lago final table will be televised by the WPT for FSN, but to follow the action from start to finish stick with PokerRoad as we bring you blogs, news and podcasts straight from the action at the Bellagio.
