Michael Pickett Takes the Title At Rincon

In a final table that lasted less than 6 hours, Minnesotan Michael Pickett emerged victorious at the WSOP Circuit Event at Harrah's Rincon Resort & Casino. Despite starting his day as one of the short stacks, Pickett successfully outlasted the rest of the field to win the $229,002 first place prize. Though quick, this final table was no walk in the park for Pickett with tournament pros Lee Watkinson and Gavin Smith both sitting at the tough final table. This win marks Michael Pickett's first major tournament victory.
