Strange Days At Festa Al Lago
October 24, 2021
At the start of the third day of the World Poker Tour Festa Al Lago Poker Championship, Doyle Brunson, Jennifer Tilly, JC Tran, David Chiu and Daniel Negreanu all had over 250,000 in tournament chips - 100,000 more than the average for the field. By the end of the third day, all of these top players were out of the event and wondering what went wrong.

Perhaps (some would argue) even stranger, PokerRoad CEO Joe Sebok was one of the only ones in the top ten who didn't blow up during the wild and turbulent day. Sebok started the day in an ominous seventh place but ended the day in fourth (1,100,000) with only 34 players left.

The final table is certainly in sight for our fearless leader but to make it there he must first survive a field that still includes Nenad Medic (925,000), Bertrand Grospellier (1,100,000), Erica Schoenberg (140,000), Justin Bonomo (300,000), Adam "Roothlus" Levy, Dutch Boyd (366,000), Brad Booth (616,000), Bryan Devonshire (485,000), Michael DeMichele (475,000), Scott Clements (552,000) and Nam Le (595,000). No easy task, but definitely one we here at PokerRoad believe he is ready for.

To follow Joe and all the crucial Day 4 action, check out for up to the minute updates, chip counts, photos and videos with PokerRoad's own Amanda Leatherman.
