Hungary For Poker Glory
October 28, 2021
The first PokerStars.com European Poker Tour ever to take place in Hungary so far looks to be a rousing success. This EUR4,350 (about $5485 USD) buy-in tournament had a cap set at 500 players and already Day 1a has seen 262 players enter, including Sorel Mizzi, Annette Obrestad, Marcel Luske, Katja Thater and Luca Pagano.

Day 1b is expected to attract just as many players, and assuming the event reaches its cap (which at this point appears inevitable), this tournament will have a total prize pool worth more than $2,500,000. Just a short list of those expected to compete in tomorrow's Day 1b includes Alex Kravchenko, Vicky Coren, William Thorson, and WPT Festa Al Lago champion Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier.

Updates and chip counts from EPT Budapest can be found at PokerStars.com.
