Day 1b Hungary
October 30, 2021
The second flight of the European Poker Tour's Budapest event - sponsored by - saw another large group of poker hopefuls enter the fray in hopes of fame and riches. About 270 players opted for the second day one in Hungary, putting the total number of entrants for this event at a cap busting 532. Just a few of the many well known pros that were in attendance for Day 1b included Dario Minieri, Max Pescatori, Alex Kravchenko, Johnny Lodden, Ivo Donev, and World Poker Tour Festa al Lago champion (and evil Sebok-buster) Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier.

Any rush Grospellier may have been on due to his WPT win is apparently over, as "ElkY' busted well before the end of Day 1b play. Joining Grospellier on the rail were Noah Boeken, Pascal Perrault, Julian Thew, Minieri, Pescatori, and many others.

All in all, only 94 players survived Day 1b, meaning together with the 88 Day 1a survivors, only 182 players remain. Today, those 182 will continue their winding journey towards an impressive total prize pool worth EUR2,128,000, but with top players like Annette Obrestad, Alex Kravchenko, Denes Kalo, William Thorson, and Sorel Mizzi all still waiting in the weeds, it should be interesting to see who actually makes it there.
