Down To 42 In Hungary
October 31, 2021
Yesterday's exciting and surprising European Poker Tour Day 2 action in Budapest saw 140 players drop out of contention, including some big stacked pros that many expected to make it deep. The biggest case in point would have to be Annette Obrestad who started the day as the heat one chip leader only to walk out of the room disappointed before the end of play. Some other top players to crash and burn on the difficult day were William Thorson, Luca Pagano, Sorel Mizzi, Kara Scott, and Arnaud Mattern.

With only 42 players still in the hunt and the money bubble a distant memory, there are considerably less top pros in action but a few still persist including Johnny Lodden, Ivo Donev, Alex Kravchenko, and Casey Kastle.

Tomorrow's Day 3 will see these and the rest of the 42 reduced down to the final eight. To check out the Hungarian highlights head to www.pokerstars.com for updates, photos and chip counts straight from Hungary's first EPT event.
