B.C. Poker Championships Main Event Starts Today
November 20, 2021
It's poker time in Canada once again, with today's start of the the fourth-annual British Columbia Poker Championships Main Event at the River Rock Casino Resort (just outside of Vancouver).

The B.C. Poker Championships Main Event is a $2,500 + $200 buy-in No Limit Hold 'em tournament, which is expected to sell out (750 player max) to create a total prize pool worth $1,875,000. Players will begin with 15,000 in tournament chips and 60 minute blind levels.

Despite the size of the buy-in, which may seem tame given all the $10,000 buy-in events these days, the B.C. Poker Championships is still expected to attract many big name players including Daniel Negreanu, Brad Booth, and PokerRoad Radio's Gavin "The Caveman" Smith.

All three of these players have been running particularly hot lately, and each one would love a win on their home soil, so expect some real fireworks at the River Rock today.

Daniel Negreanu's blog can be found right here at PokerRoad.com, so check back often. He's always pretty good at keeping his friends informed on his tournament progress.
