The second Day 1 of the PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour Grand Final saw even more players enter than the day before. A total of 172 players signed up to compete on Day 1b including Grant Levy, Jason Gray, Eric Assadourian, Jamie Pickering, Raymond Rahme, Lee "Final Table" Nelson, and Gavin Griffin.

Gavin Griffin did quite well during the tough day one and ended the evening with a very healthy chip stack. He currently sits near the top of the leader board and is well on his way to being the only player in the world who not only holds a WPT title, an EPT title and a WSOP bracelet, but also an APPT title as well.

Griffin was one of 83 Day 1b survivors, who must now patiently wait until Friday for the start of Day 2.
