Doyle's Classic, Day 4
December 18, 2021

Like slowly peeling an onion, the field at the World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic just keeps getting smaller; and like that onion, the results kind of make you want to cry.

We lost 37 players during the grueling Day 4 including many fan favorites like John Hennigan, David Benyamine, Allen Cunningham, Tuan Le, Kido Pham, Andy Bloch, Bradley Berman, Jonathan Little, and tragically, Papa PokerRoad Barry Greenstein - finally busting in 37th. place.

Only 18 players remain out of the original 497 that signed up at the Bellagio, and according to theory, by the end of play today we’ll be down to six.

Many top pros, and even some PokerRoaders, are still in this thing and hoping to make that final six including Clonie Gowen, Nick Schulman, Chino Rheem, Hoyt Corkins, Mike Matusow, Robert Mizrachi, Amnon Filippi and Steve Sung.

The current chip leader of the event is Benjamin Straate, presently sitting on a massive stack of 3,197,000 (a million chips more than the closest competitor).  It wont be easy to catch such a dominant force, but the field that will be trying certainly has the skills and experience to do so.  To follow their progress check out www.worldpokertour.com, where you will also find live updates, current chip counts and exciting and crazy videos from PokerRoad’s own Amanda Leatherman.
