WPT Season VII Set To Premier
December 30, 2021

January 4th, will mark the beginning of a new chapter for the World Poker Tour, when it’s long awaited Fox Sports Net premier finally kicks off with the first episode of Season Seven.

This new season will not only be shown on a new network but will feature new changes as well, not the least of which will be PokerRoad’s Amanda Leatherman, who will join Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten to become the official WPT Live Updates Hostess.

Amanda couldn’t have picked a better time to join the team, as Season VII promises to be packed full of excitement with final tables featuring Mike Matusow, Steve Sung, David Benyamine, Amit Makhija, Kathy Liebert, Vivek “FLOG” Rajkumar, Bertrand Grospellier, Hoyt Corkins, Chino Rheem and PokerRoad Radio’s Gavin “The Caveman” Smith, just to name a few.

Every final table of the WPT season will now be shown in two one-hour episodes, with a total of 26 episodes expected to air during the season.  The first episode will premiere this Sunday during FSN’s “Sunday Night Sports Block,” where it will join top sporting events from around the country.  FSN, of course, is not just the new home to the WPT, it’s also the home to nearly two thirds of all MLB, NHL and NBA games, and can be found constantly playing in nearly every sports bar in the country.  With so much exposure FSN should be an ideal fit for the WPT, hopefully proving that when it comes to networks for the World Poker Tour, the third time’s a charm.
