PCA Starts Monday
January 2, 2022
The next stop on the European Poker Tour, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, is set to begin its Main Event this Monday, January 5th. This is the second year that this highly popular event will be included as part of the EPT schedule (previously part of the WPT) and the first year it will be an EPT $10,000 buy-in.

This year's PCA is being billed as an entire "Festival of Poker" and will also feature a $25,000 "High Roller Event" and a "Battleship" online poker tournament where competitors compete against each other heads-up, while sitting across from one another staring at their lap tops.

Previous winners of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event include Steve Paul-Ambrose, Ryan Daut, John Gale and Gus Hansen. Last year's winner was Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, who won $2,000,000 after defeating a final table that included Hafiz Khan, Kris Kuykendall and David "The Dragon" Phan.

When it comes to the media, the 2009 PCA will be well covered. Not only is the event reportedly being filmed for GSN, the home of the highly popular High Stakes Poker, but parts of the tournament will also be streamed live right here at PokerRoad.com. Not only that, but PokerRoad will also be recording all new PokerRoad Radio episodes throughout PCA's "Festival of Poker," as Joe and Gavin begin their new journey's towards the top of all the prestigious 2009 Player of the Year lists.
