Once a month, Full Tilt Poker dispenses with it’s regular $750.000 Guarantee Sunday tournament and replaces it with a $500 +$35 buy-in, $1,000,000 Guarantee event that regularly attracts the top online pros in the business.  This last Sunday marked the first of these events for 2009 and once again, as was the case for most of 2008, it was an unequivocal success. 

2,247 people signed up to play in Full Tilt’s top Sunday event, enough to create a total prize pool worth $1,123,500 and a first prize worth over two-hundred grand.  The winner of the event was online player “bigdennys” who closed out the tournament by beating online legend Steve “gboro780” Gross heads-up.  No easy feat, as Steve Gross, according to CardPlayer’s Online Player Database (www.cardplayer.com), has over a million dollars in online wins and last year was ranked 8th overall in their Online Player of the Year race.
