LAPT Has New Latin Champion

The most recent leg of the PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour just wrapped up in Vina del Mar, Chile yesterday, and this one (thankfully) went off without a hitch.

216 people signed up to play in the $2,500 buy-in main event, creating a total prize pool of $523,800 and a first prize worth $141,426. That top prize, for the first time since the conception of the Latin American Poker Tour, was taken down by an actual Latin player, a Mr. Fabian Ortiz from Argentina.

The final table finish positions for the PokerStars LAPT Vina del Mar were as follows:

2nd. Vincenzo Giannelli- $78,570
3rd. Damian Salas- $52,380
4th. Leandro Balotin- $39,285
5th. Hernan Villa- $28,809
6th. Fabio Escobar- $23,571
7th. Jyries Saba- $18,330
8th. Eduardo Camia- $13,095
9th. Jaime Ateneloff- $10,476
