The first event of the most recent Full Tilt Online Poker Series began yesterday and easily crushed the $1,000,000 posted guarantee.  

Event #1 of the FTOPS, a $200 + $16 buy-in No Limit Hold ‘em tournament attracted 6,275 players and generated a total prize pool worth $1,255,000.  738 of those players cashed in the first event of the series including Full Tilt red pro Lee Watkinson.   

Watkinson made it all the way to 211th place in the event, farther than any of the other Full Tilt sponsored pros including the host of the event, Howard Lederer, who also cashed just slightly sooner (697th place). 

The winner of Event #1 was online player “muckducks,” who after a very long day earned an impressive $216,512.60, more than a thousand times what they initially paid to enter the tournament.  It should be noted that with the win “muckducks” also received a coveted Gold colored FTOPS jersey and an FTOPS avatar to forever strike fear into their opponents.

4th.  two8off- $65,887.50

5th.  headbang- $49,572.50

9th.  amster_ATX- $16,315
