Heartland Poker Tour - Quapaw Wrap-up

The first Heartland Poker Tour Main Event of 2009 concluded this week at the Downstream Resort Casino in Quapaw, Oklahoma, with an amateur player from Arkansas walking away with the title. 

Sean Sananikone, a factory worker soon to be the victim of company wide layoffs, took down the $127,404 top prize after a long day of poker that lasted til nearly six in the morning, according to tournament coverage on the Heartland Poker Tour's website.  Sananikone outlasted a total field of 457 players from more than four different states, to secure the victory. 

The final table finish positions for the 2009 Downstream Resort Casino Main Event were as follows: 

1st.  Sean Sananikone- $127,404

2nd.  James Jennings- $63,702

3rd.  Matt Newcombe- $38,221

4th.  Chad Long- $29,728

5th.  Daniel Haley- $25,481

6th.  George C Miller- $21,234
