Aced.com Raises The Price For Gold
February 13, 2022

Aced.com, a fledgling poker site operating on the Merge Gaming Network, announced this week that they had signed 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion Jamie Gold to a highly lucrative multi-year contract.

Exact amounts of the deal were not given in the statement; however, sources suggest Gold's contract exceeds eight figures and is one of the largest ever offered  to a poker player.  "I am not at liberty to disclose details of the arrangement," stated Gold's attorney Les Abell. "However, I can say that this contract is valued at more than any deal I've ever heard of."

According to Gold's agent, Sean Fredericks, Jamie has been offered numerous deals over the past few years but he was holding out for just the right fit.  Reportedly, this deal he found particularly attractive due to Aced.com's willingness to share in Gold's dedication to charitable activities.

Since Gold's WSOP victory, the champion has attended nearly 50 charity events where he has often served as either the co-host or emcee.  It is estimated that Gold has been a part of raising more than $110,000,000 over the past four years for charities including MDA/ALS Division, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, The Sunflower Organization, and the Montel WIlliams MS Foundation.

"I'm really proud of the example we, as a poker community, are setting. Professional poker players, celebrities, athletes, and captains of industry have worked tirelessly and participated honorably in support of charitable gaming events to impact important world causes. I've been fortunate enough to be able to give back," added Gold. "But it's only the tip of the iceberg. Aced and I plan to leave our mark, not just on poker, but on the world, making it a better place for future generations."
