PokerRoad’s Jeff Madsen, the wunderkind who earned instant poker fame after winning two WSOP bracelets during the 2006 Series, just took down a preliminary event at this year’s pro-heavy L.A. Poker Classic at the Commerce Casino – a score that netted Jeff $107,593.

Madsen beat out 254 other players to win Event #24, a $1,500 buy-in No Limit Hold ’em tournament, including such top players as Ted Lawson, Justin Scott, Tom McCormick and John “The Razor” Phan.

The final table finish positions for the 2009 L.A. Poker Classic Event #24 were as follows:

1st. Jeff Madsen- $107,593

2nd. Fouad El Adli- $58,993

3rd. Tyler Patterson- $40,813

4th. Matt Helligenthaler- $27,085

5th. Lance Oliver- $21,148

6th. Matt Stout- $16,696

7th. Luke Driour- $12,615

8th. David Peters- $9,276

9th. John Phan- $6,678
