Annie Duke Makes Waves On The Celebrity Apprentice
March 2, 2022

If poker's Annie Duke, a WSOP bracelet winner and Ultimate Bet sponsored pro, wasn't already one of the most well known poker players in America, it looks like she will be soon, at least if her first appearance on last night's premiere of NBC's The Celebrity Apprentice - Season 2 is any indication of what's to come.

Annie successfully grabbed many of the headlines from last night's show, despite being just one of more than a dozen well known celebrities to appear, including country music sensation Clint Black, NBA all-star Dennis Rodman, outrageous comedian Tom Green, Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton, comedy legend Joan Rivers and Playboy Playmate of the Year Brande Roderick.

Of course, attracting attention isn't always a good thing, especially on reality shows that have to eliminate someone every week, and it appears that many of Annie's teammates have serious issues with her aggressive, must-win style. Annie had many negative comments made about her in the first Trump board room of the season and could have potentially been in danger of elimination if her team hadn't successfully won their challenge by making the most money selling cupcakes for charity.

Annie's team, aptly named Athena, raised more than $60,000 selling cupcakes, thanks in no small part to Annie herself, who brought in many big league poker players to help out, including multiple WSOP bracelet winner Erik Seidel, who gave $5,000 for just one of the colorful little cakes.

Annie Duke can be seen on The Celebrity Apprentice on Sunday nights, at 9 eastern/8 central on NBC.
