The WORLD Poker Tour is once again proving they are just that by announcing an exciting WPT international event, this time in exotic Morocco.

The WPT Marrakech is the offspring of a new 3-year deal between the WPT and Chilipoker.com, a publicly traded Internet poker company currently not available for US players. This mutually beneficial deal will expand Chilipoker's brand awareness, while giving the WPT not only their first opportunity to run major events on the African Continent but also new viewers, as WPT Marrakesh is set to be broadcast on many European TV channels that have never before offered WPT programming.

The first WPT Marrakech main event will take place next October in the famous Casino de Marrakech and although full details of the tournament have not yet been released, satellites for the event will be available on Chilipoker.com and other Ipoker network rooms as early as this April.
