Less than a week after the World Poker Tour announced they would be bringing a tournament to Marrakech, Morocco, it appears they're expanding yet again, this time by partnering with bwin to bring Europeans the first ever Italian WPT main event.

This first event, held at the beautiful Casino di Venezia on the east bank of Venice's Grand Canal, will feature a EUR4,000+400 buy-in and will be filmed for broadcast via Web-TV.  The event is scheduled to take place on May 6th and the winner, along with the first place prize money, will earn a free seat into the 2010, $25,000 buy-in, World Poker Tour Championship.
