Dortmund Day 1 Yet Again (Day 1b)

The second and last starting day of the European Poker Tour- Dortmund, sponsored by PokerStars.com, went down yesterday, as did 221 of the 358 starting Day 1b players that sat down to play in it.  137 players survived the day and will now join Day 1a's 115 survivors, as they continue their quest for EPT glory.

In total 664 players officially signed in for EPT Dortmund during the two starting days, creating a total prize pool of EUR3,335,000 (roughly 4,300,000 USD) and a first prize wroth EUR917,000 (about $1,180,000).

Some of the top players that competed on Day 1b included Max Pescatori, Clonie Gowan, Betrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Dario Minieri, Katja Thater, Marcel Luske and WSOP Main Event champion Peter Eastgate.

Now heading into Day 2, there are many marquee players still in the field including William Thorson, Michael McDonald, David Kitai, Luca Pagano, Rolf Slotboom and "The Italian Pirate" Max Pescatori.
